Proud to be an Editor of Punjabi Research Journal “Chatnar”. The first Shah-mukhi Research Journal of Punjabi, Lahore College for Women University, Lahore. I have also honored to be a Faculty Member of Lahore College for Women University Lahore, Pakistan.
I also have the credit to be old student of this institution i.e. now 100 years old. So I can say that I am fully involved with my mother institute. Before the publication of Research Journal there were only two research journals in Pakistan for Punjabi “Khoj” from University of the Punjab and “Parakh” from Lahore College for Women University Jail Road, Lahore. Journal is publishing all standard research paper in Punjabi Language and Literature.
For promotion of regional language. The need of the art is to established the base for the promotion of regional thoughts and up gradation of their legend abilities. It will maintain the women potential and professionalism among fresh researchers and Punjabi Scholars. Journal is presenting lightly competent research work to meet the challenges of 22 century. I take pride to maintain International Research Journal “Chatnar” from Department of Punjabi, Lahore College for Women University Lahore-Pakistan. Punjabi as Indo-Asian language being spoken in western India and Eastern Pakistan. Punjabi is largest spoken regional language of Punjab (Eastern + Western). Specially in Pakistan, it is spoken by inhabitants of Punjab Province.
Punjabi established at Lahore College for Women University, Lahore as subject in 1974. Now this language is working under the umbrella of “The Institute of Language, Art and Culture”. This rich faculty is publishing three Research Journals two "Parakh" and "Chatnar" from Punjabi Department and one from Persian.
